VicoHome for PC – How To use VicoHome On Your Computer

The VicoHome app is designed for compatible security cameras. This guide explains the computer options and their limitations; use the Android or iPhone app for camera setup and everyday monitoring.

VicoHome for PC: downloads and compatibility

VicoHome does not offer a Windows desktop client or a browser camera viewer. Its help center recommends the smartphone app. Apple’s App Store also lists the iPhone/iPad app as compatible with some Macs, but this does not establish full desktop camera support.

VicoHome on Mac: App Store compatibility

The App Store listing requires macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later. This is the mobile app running on a compatible Mac, rather than a separate Mac desktop application. Intel Macs do not meet the listed chip requirement.

Set up the camera with your phone first. Installation availability can vary, and camera pairing, live video, recordings and notifications are not guaranteed to work on a computer. Check the listing on your Mac before proceeding.

  1. Open the VicoHome App Store listing on your Mac and check its compatibility information.
  2. If the store offers Get or Install for your Mac, follow the App Store installation prompts.
  3. Open the app and sign in to the account already used on your phone.
  4. Check which functions are available. If the app cannot install or a camera feature does not work, continue using the smartphone app.

VicoHome on Windows: Android emulator limitations

Windows 11 is no longer a direct Android-app installation route through Windows Subsystem for Android. Microsoft removed Windows Subsystem for Android and the Amazon Appstore from the Microsoft Store on March 5, 2025. A third-party Android emulator is a separate workaround; VicoHome does not document support for it.

Windows Android emulator

BlueStacks is one third-party Android emulator for Windows. Check the publisher’s current system requirements before installing it. An emulator is not a VicoHome Windows client, and installing the app does not guarantee that camera functions will work. BlueStacks download page.

Mac Android emulator limitations

Emulator support depends on the Mac processor, macOS version and emulator release. Do not assume that a Windows emulator package or an older Mac package will work on your Mac. If considering Nox, check the publisher’s current platform requirements first.

Install the Android app in an emulator

If you choose to try an emulator, install a version supported by its publisher for your operating system and follow its setup instructions. For compatible Apple silicon Macs, check the App Store option above first.

If Google Play is available in the emulator, search for VicoHome there and check the app listing before installing. Android app availability and emulator compatibility can vary.

If the emulator supports APK imports, you can find the Android package in our VicoHome APK download section. Check the listed version and use the emulator’s APK installation instructions. An APK is an Android package, not a Windows or Mac installer.

Set up the camera with the VicoHome mobile app

Having Wi-Fi on a computer does not guarantee that it can pair a VicoHome camera. Follow our VicoHome camera connection guide on your phone first. Keep the mobile app available for pairing and any camera functions that are unavailable on a computer.
